The BFA is a degree that is used by many college teachers as their highest degree!. It represents a concentration of classes in the subject area!. If you want to pursue a musical theatre career a BFA in musical theatre is not a bad idea if done at the right school!. If you are thinking of having a backup, you will be a teacher, not a professional musical theatre person, because it is so hard to do and takes so much sacrifice and there are so few jobs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well if you love FINE ARTS then go for it and as a back up you can TEACH at least this way your WORLD will be what you LOVE so dont worry just get the education and do what you can in your own creative way as well!. You can always WRITE or TEACH since you will have the Expertise and credentials to back you upWww@QuestionHome@Com

I think you can be a producer with a BFA!. I only know a thimble full of theatre!. It might graduate you on to an MFA which would let you produce/ direct!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
