How can i get into acting in my area?

Question: How can i get into acting in my area!?

I am interesting in acting!. I have no expirience but am told by my freinds that i should act!.

I am more so interested in musicals rather than basic plays!.

I live in Basingstoke!.

There are local stages called "The Anvil" and "The Haymarket theatre"!.

Any ideas how i can get into either of these as a character in preferably a musical!.

Again!. I dont want to try to hit the BIG time, i just want it as an extra hobby sorta thing!? You know!

Just as a hobby is great!!!

Find out if those theatres in your area have websites, they will usually post audition announcements there, or check your newspaper!.

If those are community theatres, they will generally let anyone audition!. Just show up!!! Experience is not required for things like that - community theatres just want the interest!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
