I't hard to cry when people are looking at you, expecting you to just beable to cry, especially when there are cameras involved!.
Before you do the scene, think of something really sad, it can be a memory, or of a film, even something in a book, and concentrate on why it made you cry!.
also, if you try not to blink for a long time, it can help too, as your eyes start to go dry so your eyes water!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, acting on camera adds an entirely new set of distractions!.
It's definitely a skill to act in front of a camera, not to mention all the crew standing around, a boom mic sometimes very close to you, following you around, and also you have to hit your marks (they will usually put a strip of gaffers tape on the ground for your marks)!.
The bigger the production, the larger the crew - sometimes 12-30 people can be milling around, with only a few actually doing anything during the scene, the rest wandering around in the background, or just standing around looking bored (believe me, they're not mesmerized by you acting)!.

For crying, what I did with my actors who had a hard time doing it, is I would chop a bit of onion up, crush it in some water, and they would dab a bit under their eye!.
Guaranteed to make you tear up!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Real actors(who know what acting is and how to do it) do not fake it, they really cry if it is the honest reaction to the stimuli in the scene!. I am not sure what Stanislavski said about it, but since he is nearly 100 years dead, we can pretty much go on to someone more current like Harold Guskin who is still alive and who wrote a book called How to Stop Acting!. Since on of the skills of the true actor is concentration, the camera junk and people do not bother him!. Took me a while to learn, but I did when I was an actor!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well just buy that solution that people put in their contacts, and then just before the scene put the solution in your eyes and, u will start crying!. i think thats what all of the actors use!Www@QuestionHome@Com

keep your eyes open for a while without blinking and the tears will fall, you can also try thinking of a sad situation youve lived in the past though thats kind of depressingWww@QuestionHome@Com

Stanilslavsky said that it shouldn't be fake!Www@QuestionHome@Com
