Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Acting? Agent? JRP? SAG? Disney Channel? Nickelodeon?

Question: Acting!? Agent!? JRP!? SAG!? Disney Channel!? Nickelodeon!?
So I really want to go into the acting bussines, a while ago i got a callback from JRP (John Roberts Powers) but my parents reaserched it a little, and several people stated it was a scam, so we didn't go for it!. I wanna fing out about SAG (Screen Actors Guild) a little more, how does it work!?
I've also noticed that people said I need an agent, and i don't know where or how to contanct a good one, that can actually get me into Disney Channel or Nickelodeon!.
And is there a way to book a Disney Channel or Nickelodeon (could be another) audition without and agent!?
Where can i book an audition!?
Basically, I need a headstart to all this Hollywood things!.
Thanks in advance!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That is such a great thing that you didnt go to JRP!. Yes, its true they are a huge acting school that scams kids and basically gets little kids hopes up about being on disney channel and stuff & they make it seem to good to be true!. I use to go there & now that i quitted!. im on my own!. Its much easier & i found myself an agent!.

Finding an agent isnt the easiest thing to do!. But after you do find one and they sign with you then things kind of get easier!. Look up the agencys around your area on the internet or local theaters!. After that send them in your resume and headshot!. If they are intrested they'll contact in a 1-2 week time period!.

Your other question was " Can you find Disney or Nickeloden auditions or anything else without an agent!?" First off, you really cant get anywhere without an agent!. Disney and popular networks like that find talent from agencys because they want actors with a little more experience rather than all those wannabes!. But if you cant find an agent, you can find auditions for little productions or stuff like that!. They could may a little or not at all!. Try looking on Craigslist!.org OR your local paper in the theater section!. Best of luck to you!Www@QuestionHome@Com
