Question: Ampification system failure! Please Help!!?

So, our ampification system for the stage microphones suddenly stopped working!. If we hire a professional, to come in a repair it, it would cost $2000 which we defianetly don't have in the budget!. Is there a way to design a "make-shift" ampification system so the audience will be able to hear the actors' performing their lines!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Have you ever tried having your actors PROJECT!?!? As in, speak the lines loudly, clearly and distinctly!?
