Question: Aspiring singer but leaning towards a different major in college!. Need *your* opinions!.!.!.!?
I'm an aspiring singer but I'm leaning towards my second love -Advertising - for my college major so I can have something to fall back on in case things don't go my way!. I will be moving to San Fran this August, where I'll be pursuing an AA in Advertising at the Academy of Art University!. But I'm going to find singing/acting opportunities and auditions at the same time, and I'm also planning to hit LA to try my luck during the break!. If something good could come up, I'll finish my course online so I can manage my job and studies at the same time!.

I know it's important to dream but I've been thinking that it won't hurt to have something to fall back on in case things don't go my way!. Besides, I can focus on both at the same time!. So!.!.!.!. What do you think!? Is this a good enough plan!? I've been taking a couple of acting classes and have been singing at my friend's parties during senior high so I did have relevant singing experiences!. Your opinion will be very much appreciated!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It never hurts to have a minor when you're pursuing your degree!. I say go for the BA in Advertising, and take the vocal minor along the way!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You will not become a singer if you can earn money and be confortable as an ad person!. why are you giving up on it, before you have even tried!? You will be wasting your time going to LA on break!. Get out there and sing until you are noticed and can get an agent!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
