Romeo and Juliet:
William Shakespeare's tragic tale of love and death goes like this: Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, of the houses of Montague and Capulet, are sworn enemies!. The opening scene finds Samson, Tybalt, and gregory (of the Capulet family), quarreling with Balthasar, Abraham, and Benvlio (of the Montague family)!. This turns into a full-out brawl, which disturbs the citizens, and brings the prince in to yell at them!. Later that night, Romeo and Juliet meet at a party in the Capulet mansion, and instantly fall in love!. Later that night they meet in the Capulet's orchard, and plan to be married the next morning!. Their union is made, but soon ruined, as Romeo slays Tybalt, and is banished from Verona!. After he leaves, Juliet learns she is to marry Paris (as no one around them knew they were married)!. She is devestated, and her and the Friar form a plan!. But, as in a classic tragedy, everything goes wrong, and they both end up killing themselves!.

King Lear:
too long to fit!

Mac Beth:
Macbeth is a Scottish general who is loyal to Duncan, the Scottish king!. But after Macbeth meets three witches who prophesy that Macbeth will be king, the general is no longer satisfied to remain loyal to his king!.

Macbeth and his wife hatch a plot to kill the king under their own roof and frame the guards outside the king's bedroom for the murder!. Although Macbeth has misgivings about killing the king, his wife convinces him that it is the thing to do!. Macbeth kills Duncan with his wife's help, but he is plagued with guilt for the crime!.

When Duncan's murdered body is discovered, Macbeth immediately kills the accused guards so that he can cover his tracks!. Duncan's sons, Malcolm and Donalbain, flee Macbeth's castle in fear for their lives, and they are suspected of bribing the guards to kill their father!.

Macbeth assumes the Scottish throne!. In order to secure the throne for his descendants, he must kill Banquo, the other army general, and Banquo's son because the witches' told Macbeth that Banquo's descendants would have the throne after Macbeth!. So Macbeth sets a trap and hires murderers to kill Banquo and his son, but Banquo's son escapes!. Shortly after Banquo is killed on his way to a banquet at Macbeth's palace, Macbeth is haunted by Banquo's ghost!. In the middle of the banquet he sees the ghost of the murdered man there and he makes a scene in front of the Scottish lords who are at the banquet!. This outburst makes the lords suspicious although Lady Macbeth tries to play it off as just an illness that Macbeth has!.

Meanwhile, Macduff, a Scottish noble who suspects that Macbeth murdered Duncan, goes to England to get help to reclaim the throne!.

Macbeth goes to see the witches again to learn his fate!. They tell him to beware Macduff; that he will not be defeated until Birnam wood moves to Dunsinane; and that Macbeth will not be killed by someone born of a woman!. Macbeth takes all of these signs to mean that he is invincible!.

In England Macduff and Malcolm, the rightful heir, ban together to fight Macbeth!. When Macbeth learns of Macduff's treachery, he sends murderers to Macduff's home to kill his wife and children!. When Macduff hears of this, his resolve to kill Macbeth grows even stronger!.

With ten thousand English troops they go to fight Macbeth!. Macbeth is unafraid until he learns that the troops have camouflaged themselves with wood from the Birnam forest and are moving toward Dunsinane!. When Macbeth comes face to face with Macduff he learns that Macduff was removed from his mother's womb, and was, thus, never born!. Macduff kills Macbeth and Malcolm is returned to the throne!.

I have read Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth, so here's the basic plot for those two!.

Romeo and Juliet: This is the story of two starcrossed lovers!. They are from fuding families the Montegues and the Capulets!. This play tells of how they came to fall in love with each other!. Soon after they realize their love Romeo kills Juliets cousin and is forced into exile!. A plan is devised so that Juliet can be with Romeo!. Juliet drinks a poison that makes it appear as if she is dead!. Juliet is then burried in the family vault!. Romeo did not recieve the message that detailed the plan and thinks that Juliet is really dead, so he buys poison and kills himself at her graveside!. Juliet awakens moments later and sees that Romeo is dead and kills herself to be with him!. In the end the families realize that their feuding has cause the death of their children!.

Macbeth: Macbeth is Thane (Nobility) of Glamis in Scotland while Scotland fights the Norse!. At the begining of the play he and another thane are returning home from battle when they are meeted by three witches!. The witches call him thane of Glamis, thane of Cawdor, and King!. They also tell Banquo that his decendents will be kings!. After the witches leave Macbeth is informed that the thane of Cawdor was executed and he is now thane of Cawdor!. This gives him cause to believe he could be king!. Soon after this the king comes to visit Macbeth at his castle!. Macbeth's wife, who Macbeth told the predictions to, convinces Macbeth that he must make the prophacy come to be!. Macbeth kills Duncan, the King, and frames the guards!. The kings sons fearing for their lives flee the country and Macbeth becomes king!. Macbeth remembering the prophacy about Banquo's decendents being king orders a hit on Banquo and his son Fleance!. Fleance escapes!. Macbeth starts to loose it after this!. He sees Banquo's ghost at dinner!. The witches greet Macbeth again and tell him to beware MacDuff, that no one born of a woman can harm him, and that he didn't need to fear until Burnam wood comes to Dunsanine!. Macbeth heeds the witches warning and kills MacDuff's family, but MacDuff is not home, he is in England trying to convince Malcolm, the kings son to come back and take the throne!. MacDuff succdes and Malcom and and English army return to claim the throne!. During this time Lady Macbeth wracked with guilt starts sleepwalking and eventually kills herself!. The soliders for the English army cut down tree branches from Burnam wood to hide themselves, thus fulfilling the third prophacy!. There is a battle!. Eventually, MacDuff and Macbeth battle each other!. MacDuff informs Macbeth that he was not born he was "from his mothers womb untimely ripped" and kills Madbeth!. Malcolm becomes king!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
