Romeo & Juliet is one of his most widely known plays!. And it's often quoted: I've heard many references to the play in modern day life!.

After that, I would say Macbeth and Hamlet!. "To be, or not to be"- Hamlet, etc!.

Shakespeare's body of work: including not only his plays but his sonnets, too, is very famous and well-known!.
