Usually it is the hands with the growing nails, the fingers turning into claws; then the face, the actor mourns this change as it is the change that makes him most as different from his fellow humans!. The voice changes and becomes harsher, he begins to growl!.
I take it that you have never confronted a wolf!. Generally they are shy and avoid direct conflict if they think that the odds are against them!. But they are sly and will attack when they think that they have you unawares!.
