Question: I wish to publish my play where can I go where my script will be safe !?

I am South African, I have a two man play which was done at our national arts festival in Grahamstown in 1991, I now wish to get it published in the USA, but I am not sure where I can get this done where my script will be safe from plunder, can someone help!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not entirely sure about that!. In addition to standard copyright/intellectual property laws, I think for a small fee you can register your play with the Writer's Guild (the writers' union) to help protect it from plagiarism, but I'm really not sure of the details!.
