Open calls?

Question:ok does any1 know out there for any open calls for anything on tv or movies or something like that?

im 14 and i live in atlanta ga and miami fl... do yall know of any auditions? realy want to get in the acting biz:-P

Well firstly, open auditions are fairly rare. If you want to get in to acting, then the easiest way would be to get an agent. Agents find you work. But to get an agent you must have a load of acting experience.
If you tell them "Oh, I did an acting course at school for a month and one on summer vacation"...that is NOT enough! You have to have YEARS of experience. An Agent won't accept you in to their agency if you don't have at least 2 or 3 years of experience, some even expect 5!
Open Auditions don't come all the time, but they are usually looking for undiscovered talent. Try checking your newspaper, they usually have the latest news on local open auditions.
But let me say, open auditions are the definite hardest! Their are usually 2000-5000 people auditioning who all want the same part.

Open calls are almost invariably for extras and unpaid jobs. A lot of the time when you hear of someone being cast from an open call it is a publicity stunt. And there isn't much being done where you live. So forget it. If you want to act you can find places to do it where you are. You just can't be a famous movie star.
