Question:I really want to be an actress and i live in the uk.
I was just wondering that if i got the oppertunity to work in an america based film then would i have to find and pay for a accomodation myslef or would someone else? and would my family have to come with me ( im 17) or would my agent or someone else come? And how would i travel to work and back from where im staying or would that all be arranged? Im really serious about acting its just im new to it all and confused by somethings. Thanks

Since you are a minor, you would need parental permission- but not necessarily anybody to accompany you. If you haven't finished schooling than a tutor would need to be arranged for you- by either the production company or yourself. It would be in your contract whether or not they would pay for your accommodations and travel expenses, so get your agent to work those perks in for you since it will be very hard otherwise on your own. You would need a working artist visa and that would need to be arranged by you, though the company will usually help you out with some of that.
Your agent should be looking out for your best interests and should advise you accordingly. But if something just doesn't feel right to you don't hesitate to ask, or get a second opinion.

No matter what, make sure that you have a place to stay when you leave home because showing up with no contacts and no home in a new place is a formula for disaster. And better safe than sorry: bring enough money for a plane ticket home and a couple nights at a hotel.

To work in america you need to have a working permission and maybe a citicenship (usually all this is called a green card).

Weather or not you will have to pay for accomendation or travells to and from work depends on if youre a star or not. But most actors are like any other worker in that area so they use they income to pay for houses and travells (usualy by car in amarica).

It depends on the type of film, type of role, whether it was filmed in the UK or US, etc.

To work in the US you'd need a work visa; if a film company wanted you so much that they'd do the paperwork necessary for your visa, I'd assume they'd also provide you at least a per diem, if not outright pay for your travel.
