Charlton Heston was one of the last great actors of Hollywood. I don't mean great as in acting talent only. Heston was a real man that always stood up for what he believed in. He served during WWII, marched with MLK during the Civil Rights movement, and spoke out against the gun control liberals over a long and vast public life. He believed in the preservation of our Bill of Rights. He was also married to his wife for 64 years.

I only like him because he makes it easier for me to buy firearms.
Ben Hur was lame.

He had an awesome voice. I watched Kenneth Braunaugh (sp?) version of Hamlet and he played the 1st Player and gave this monologue and oh my goodness it was so awesome i was applauding the tv screen. He's a true talent that will be sorely missed.

He is without a doubt, one of the great ones of our era. Yet, we will always remember some of those infamous scenes.
