i would say a snapshot so that would show how you use ur creativelty with ur piks and how u do them... it will show a lil side of urself it instead by a pro which will show how the photographer shows u instead of how u show urself.... know wat i mean?

get one of your friends to get a good head shot and edit it well. a picture that really shows you and who you are.

preffesional would be better..unless you have a relly good snapshot :)

if the not professional pic looks good then go wit that 1 and save some money

if you are really looking to pursue acting or whatever it is for the agency i would definitely get a headshot, but if you are just looking to do this on the side and dont really care about it just send in a snapshot, buenas suerte

I would get a professional headshot. I've done that before. But it has to be a good photographer if you do that, you will get into ANY agency.

There are probably some reason why they are accepting snap shots. They might be a new agency, or they might be making extra money with people without headshots (they will probably offer to make some for you for a cost), or they are doing some sort of cattle calls which, they are looking for a specific looks at the moment, or they are making money off those who answer their ad. If they will be charging you a fee, RED FLAG, maybe you might have some second thoughts about that agency. It shouldn't cost you to be a client, only when you get paid with a gig they supplied.
If you're serious with the show business, get yourself a good headshot. I don't know what is the standard now, for I have heard that it is colored photos, I have always thought it's B&W. Do some research for it, and also what is a good headshots - make sure look for the most current ones. You can also save some money, by having someone who knows photography to do a headshot for you. Go to colleges and their photography department/class and look for someone to do one for you for free or small stipend. Then you could go to a copy place like KINKOS and have it reproduced over there on photo or photo-like papers (glossy when I was doing it). It's what I used to do before.
