You could recombine your name to end up with, for example, "Smitty Jane," or a surname that combines your birth name with a name you wish you had, such as "Veronica Janesmith." You may wish to be a single-name performer, i.e. "Jaysmith" or "Jess" (for J.S.). Or a colorful take on your real name, i.e. "Jae's Myth." Names like these would allow you to retain your roots, if that is important to you.

But whatever it is, make sure it is something you like. If it is a stage name, it should be one that will allow you to grow. Note that many performers outgrow their early stage names. Examples would be street styled artists who become legit, or mainstreamed - their names don't do them justice later on.

My rap name is Super-King. My sons is Cash Money God, but we legally changed our names

I would say to pick something with sentimental value to your life, that way it's still reflecting who you are! Think about yourself and things that you love and what types of words and names come to mind!

Go with something unique that no one else has.
Like Johnna, Naim, Nene, Brown, Nata, Jael, Jaslene (tapping in to Americas next top model)

If there is no other actor with the same name as you, then use your own. If there is, then try adding an initial in the middle (Jane Q Smith) or using your mother's maiden name, or a surname that was in your family years ago. Most professional actors don't bother to change their names unless they have to.

Try to keep your name in tack as much as possible. But maybe nickname it

ex:
Caitlin- Catie
Alyssa-Allie
Kristin- Keke
Katherine- KJ
or like my name
Elizabeth- Liz-Lizzie- Beth

for a last name sometimes you want to simplify your name if its too complex. Use a maid name- an old family name- or modify yours slightly

sometimes adding a second part to your name makes it more interesting

EX:
Tessa Rose
Kelley Anne
Maria L.

Good luck

Nikki Kaylins would make a great stage name!
