Question:there is a hannah montana casting call tomorrow in Nashville TN. I live in Albany NY and i really want to go! It is for extras to play in the movie. I really want to go but i cant convince my parents! Help? How do i convince them?

It would be a good opportunity, however, the casting call is for extras only meaning background. Your parents would spend hundreds of dollars on a plane ticket just so you can spend 12 hours on a set making a maximum of $150 most likely. And if you want to go because you think you would meet Miley Cyrus or other actors the chances are pretty slim depending on the scene you are in. Plus I'm guessing you are still in school so when/if you are cast as background in order to keep things in sync you may have to be in TN on several different occasions only resulting in more money to fly you back and forth plus missing school (because they only shoot during the work week) and you'd have to pay for housing if you stayed during the duration that you would be booked. Being an extra is simply not worth traveling that far. There will be plenty of other opportunities.

Not to mention I just noticed that you are only going to the open call which means plane ticket there and back with an adult guardian but you've have to do it all over again with an adult guardian to go to the actual shoots

it's really not yout decision. when you grow up and get a job and pay for your own plane ticket, do it. until then, stop complaining

Sorry kid, your parents are right. Extras make minimum wage. It would cost them a lot more than you would make just to make the trip to the open call. Then there'd be no guarantee that you'd even get to do it. Forget this one.

1. You will not die if you don't get on Hannah Montana
2. You could theoretically make it there on time, but you'd have to take a plane, which is expensive just for an audition.
3. Listen to your parents. They usually have good reasons. If really want to go, sit down with them and explain why.

If you can't go and want to act, join local theatre groups or something.

Don't go because hannah montana is not cool. You'll grow out of her in 2 months. If you ABSOLUTELY wanna go, wait till she comes to NY.

Sorry, but you would only have a 1% of getting in anyway, if you even made it to nashville with that other 1% chance. But dont give up!

If it's tomorrow and it's early evening, I'm afraid you've missed the boat. Besides, there's wide-spread thunderstorms throughout the south this evening, it'd be rough driving.

I assume that if they are having a casting call in Nashville it would because they want the publicity and possibly a real Tennessee accent.

Tell them this is what you wanna do and be mature, dont ewhine or winge or cry, and if they really cannot do it, just go for something else when it comes along, there will always be other auditions.

Just tell them that it is your dream and see how it goes from there.

Listen to what they have to say and speak rationally when you have something to say in return, dont interupt and be nice.
