Is kelly clarkson okay for a spring awakening audition?

Question:I will be attending the spring awakening open call in nyc next weekend. i was planning on singing 'behind these hazel eyes' by kelly clarkson. i'm 15 years old, turning 16 in about 4 months, with an strong alto and mezzo range + belting.

does anyone think that's a good or bad song?
if not, any suggestions?

I would sing something a bit edgier - the cattle calls ask you sing a pop song? Or a pop/rock song? Try to find something that sounds more like the music from the show... more rock than pop. You want them to see the parallels between you and the characters from Spring Awakening.

i would say that for a musical audition it wouldnt be very good.... but since it is spring awakening... more popish... i think it would be fine.
