Question:I want to be an actor, but do i have to go drama school? I think iam good at acting, and basically could probably do anything they told me to. Could anyone give me tips or links to any movie auditions or something? what do i need to do exactly?

It helps. A university degree will open a lot of doors for you, or maybe one or two, at least.

Tip: Experience. Everyone wants someone with experience.

Tip: They also say never say "no." If you're asked can you ride a horse, say yes. Then, if you actually can't ride one, you'll need to learn rather quickly.

OK Ryan... I want you to do an in depth character study of a role, discuss the inner dialogue of the character and the subtext. Next we'll discuss the differences between stage and film in regards to gesture and facial reactions. From which wing will you enter, can you hit a mark and do you have your sides. Get the point?

If you haven't got enough respect for the craft to WANT to go to acting school you have no business even thinking about it. You CAN'T just do it.

You don't necessarily have to go to a drama school, but you do have to study acting somewhere. Many universities have excellent acting programs.
