Best format example I've seen for an acting resumé is by Mark Sikes at the Showfax Roundtable. See: http://more.showfax.com/columns/corner/a... for a great summary.

I've also written extensively about billing in my Showfax columns, which you can easily link to, after reading Mark's column.

Most importantly, be sure you're ready for an agent. You need to prove you have a career--a MONEY-making career--from which an agent can earn a commission. Until you're at (or almost at) that level, you're better off generating work on your own in your local market (community theatre, student films, indie projects) and building credits/experience 'til it's time to show the pros you have created a brand that will help them earn money.
