NO. All the previous answers have no idea what they are talking about. It has already been released by Disney that High School Musical 3 will be a feature film, and it will be the third and final film in the HSM series. It will be about their senior year and graduation.

There will be no High School Musical 4 or 5.

Filming will begin in the spring with the series' director, Kenny Ortega, who said that he's excited to be working one last time with the cast, who were all virtually unknown before the first "HSM" debuted on the Disney Channel in January 2006. The movie went on to be the highest-rated program in the channel's history, and the soundtrack to its first sequel was the second-best-selling album of 2007.

"I am the luckiest guy in the world and I know it," Ortega said. "This will be our last time together, and I love working with these kids so much. It's going to be great."

Everyone's back. All six stars of "High School Musical" will be onboard for the first big-screen adventure for the Disney Channel juggernaut. That means Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman will suit up for "High School Musical 3: Senior Year," slated for release on October 24, 2008.

The third installment will find high school seniors Troy (Efron) and Gabriella (Hudgens) dealing with the prospect of being separated as they head to different colleges. And, as usual, they will join the rest of the Wildcat gang to stage an elaborate musical to deal with it.

Budding pop singer Tisdale, who will, of course, be back in the role of jealous diva Sharpay Evans, told People she's also psyched about one more go-round at East High.

"I'm excited," she said. "But it's going to be sad. It seems like it will be graduation, and I'll be crying while we're filming."

Most likely.... No. The third one supposingly is going to be about them graduating. They "erased" the idea of making it a halloween movie.

but i think, yes, prob. there will b a high skool musical 4. cuz everyone is addicted to each one... (no clue y..) theyre gunna make a 4th. my guess is that high skool musical is gunna get to like.... 22 movies.... lol itll beat star wars and harry potter!:D

i don't think so unless theres a good rating on the 3 movie there making but i herd there not the same characters

idk, it seems kind silly cause since in HSM 3 they're gonna B senoirs so if they keep going they'll have to rename it to Collage Musical which would be totally lame. Besides I don't see how they could come up with many more good story lines. HSM 2 was already kinda lame.

Joie is right. the 3 one is about There Senior Year, They couldn't make a 4Th one because they would be in Collage and it just wouldn't make sense. Also Vanessa Hudgens said that it is the last movie.
