Ideas for monologues for an audition.?

Question:Hello

I am new to auditioning at my community theater and i have never had to supply my own monologue when auditioning at school.
I need ideas for a monologue just a minute long...it is just for a general audition so something to impress the directors that will be there. I'm just 16 yrs old...if that helps..

maybe an idea for a song too i have to do that to. (16 bars)

depending on your vocal range- do something from hairspray or across the universe.
for a monologue- choose your favorite part of a book and read something thats around 8-10 lines long, that should be a minutes worth
