Acting Question ??

Question:For a friend... lol

Ive wanted to be an actress my whole life, but i live in such a small place (Gibraltar) that i dunno how to get started.

Also im not very confident ..

Any Advice ??

No one really answers your question. You get started in the plays at school. Then when you graduate you go to where there are acting schools. Like England or the US.

You HAVE to be confident. Because when you aren't you get sucked into the wrong things. Take lots of classes to learn about blocking, auditions, and the basics of acting. Start with small roles, and know their are really no small roles just small actors. Bottom line is if it isn't a challenge and rewarding at the same time it isn't right. Take improv in my experience improv is what rounds you out to be a good actor because not everything goes as planned.

I suggest finish school, then if you still have that dream follow it, but MANYY girls want to be Hollywood actresses, so yeah, sorry to say but unless you have a lot of natural talent your probably not going to get very far, and if you do get to be in a tv show, or movie no one said you'll have a stable career. . . . .

Well, don't give up just because you think it will be a struggle, it might, it might not, but if it is, in the long run you could be famous one day.
You have to be passionate and ask yourself "Is this what i really want to do" and think about the ups and downs of your dreams.
Well, begin small shows and sing or dance or act in groups of small people.
