our area symphony has a jr. symophony mebbe you should look into something like that? how long have U played for?

I know how you feel. Probably the only way is to wait. Thats probably not what you wanted to hear, but there you go.

You are not even old enough to get a regular job. Musicians have unions and unions have rules. There isn't anyway around it. Just keep playing and wait til you're old enough to audition for real.

There are rules and regs that the symphony must abide by and as an underage musician, they would have to provide adequate supervision for you. But you can also talk with the director of the group and see if they have a program for talented teens.

Symphony performances require a LOT of rehearsal time (both as a group and as an individual), performances may be late or at times you could not play, and, honestly, as a teen, you are not going to want to give up that much time for it. Really - remember you have school, homework, sports, friends, and at some point, dates, college, etc etc etc.

At the very least, you should volunteer with the symphony - usher, stuff programs, encourage others to attend, heck, you might even be able to be a stand in at rehearsals. Make yourself visible, useful and helpful. When you ARE old enough, they'll remember you!
