How to become a speller on The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee?

Question:I bought tickets to The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, found out that they select people from the audience to be spellers. Could someone give me tips on how to be selected? I want to know what I should wear, what hobbies are good for them to see, and ones that aren't. And is Haldeman a name that is likely to be picked? Please, just offer some advice on how to better my chances of being selected. And please ASAP. Thanks!!!

I don't know. All I know is that the look at what your wearing and then choose. So I think you should wear something really strange to enhance your chance of getting on! Have fun, I wish I could go :-)

There's a sign up table when you get there where you fill out a little entry form and then they pull names at random from a lottery.
