I think you mean a monologue? As in what dramatic/comedic monologue can you do to further your career? And the answer is don't. Start out taking classes.

If you mean what is the best argument for WANTING to do theatre... I would say that's your argument to make. For me there's something about captivating an audience and sending them home with an inspiring message... Art changes people. I want to be part of that.
