I want to be an actress but things are stopping me?

Question:There's family stopping me telling me that it's impossible, people are telling me i can't do it, and there's also many other problems in my life. I just wish my life could change. That people would look at me as a star. To be seen. To have work. I am confident. I'm 100 percent positive I will not change, all i want is to have a career as an actress in ANYTHING. i'm 12 years old, and I'm willing to be famous for acting.
Help me. I want auditions, any agencies or KNOWN agencies? No I do not care if i'm in disney channel or nickelodeon, I want to be shown as the main character though. Any suggestions on what I could do to change my life by becoming an actress?Oh and I'd really like to gain friends...I don't have much. I dont think appearances matter either, but I'm decent looking. Okay, answer ASAP for me please. Thanks a lot. <3

Have you had acting lessons? That would be a place to start. Check your city to see if there are any schools that teach acting or if there are any theater groups that take children.

You need to get some experience and you need some practice before you become a star. It's good that you have confidence because you will need it in that field.

So start looking for opportunities to get on stage in your town.
You have plenty of time to work on this. Do some research and then start working on it.

hi im 14 and my family and friends arent so supportive either but thats life i wanna get into acting too and ive found this site it looks really cool now im just persuding my mum to let me suscribe to it it has thousands of auditions on there but can i just say dont expect to make it through the first audition you go to and you may have to be an extra or something first before you can get realised and go bigscreen just remember everyone has to start from the bottom the sites called

Dear, your family knows that to succeed in the field of acting is very rare, and most people NEVER even get their foot in the door of that business. The odds are stacked against you big time. You sound very naive and immature (well, you said you were 12, right?). You seem to yearn for fame and very few people attain that either. Is it fame you are seeking or do you really have a desire to learn your craft (acting)? I suspect not. I suspect you are very unhappy right now and that is why you desire fame and fortune. You see those things as changing your life around. They won't, even if you did become famous and again, that is highly unlikely. You haven't the slightest idea that you need connections in the business, loads of talent, and luck. Agents are VERY selective with whom they deal and they DON'T deal with minors, or people such as yourself with NO experience! You don't go into acting to gain friends or to change your life. You go into it because you absolutely can't get enough of it and you must be willing to take any part in local community theater, school plays, etc., just to act. You don't start out as the star of everything at 12 years-old. Believe it or not, you WILL change your mind a hundred times about what you want to do with your life. I know you honestly think you won't but you will. It's guaranteed! Try out for school plays and community theater and be willing to accept small roles. Worry about everything else later. Much later!

You need to be a lot more realistic. It's not reasonable for someone with absolutely no professional experience to expect their first job to be their own TV show.

And if you're only 12, you can't do one single thing, not even audition for amateur work, without your parent's permission. Work on permission, training, and experience before you even think of looking for an agent. Yes, it will take years. Too bad, that's life. If you don't want to do the necessary work, you don't really want to be an actress. You just have a fantasy about being famous.
