First Read Thru Tonight?

Question:I recently made it into Man of La Mancha. this is the first time I have been in a show at this theatre. ( I have experience elswhere) but I haven't been in a musical or really sung for a while. I am one of the Muleteers. (probably Anselmo...I read for him)

I want advice from people who are familiar with the show.
Just Curious... Any advice on how to play the character. I am unsure because I am usually cast as a fatherly type character. So this is a little different for me, and I want to be impressive

Really does not matter. Take him in some direction, anything but bland. That will give the director something to change, when he gets that far, and nothing makes directors happier than changing what you've done. :)

This would be a good question to ask your director.
