Question:I am a beginer at acting a teen under 18 for now. I want to get into acting but I don't know where to start. Get involved with an agent or go staright to the casting agency. Which is better?

Gee, you had some bad answers, agents do not cost big bucks, they cost nothing. You start in the school plays and speech competitions like duet acting. A Casting agency does not negate the need for an agent.. Neither will make you an actor. You have to be an actor first. Get lots of experience and training, years of it, then get an agent.

well you should go to casting and if it starts to work out then get an agent, thats what id doo

go to acting agency if that doesn't help then get an agent.......just remember getting an agent will cost u big bucks so be prepared.....you'll be losing money before u make money...

the first thing you can to do get into acting is community theatre/acting or vocal lessons. get any training you can such as acting classes you can even take like an hour a night a couple nights a week. also, audition for any community theatre or acting oppertunities you have near you to get a feel for how others respond to your acting. once you get some experiance and you're still passionate about acting then check out different agents and once you sign with one, you'll be able to go on real auditions!
