i am auditioning for a musical too. And im 17 but the song i am useing is the song from enchanted..."Happy Woring Song" its an upbeat song. and as weird as u may feel singing it it will me a rememborable song. So if you're a soprano...well i shouldnt say that cus im an alto. But if u can hit those notes comfortably it will be a great audition. Hope this helps!

p.s. one of the highschools around here just did seusicall and it was really good! Very fun musical!

Ok, now don't learn any new songs, sing a song that you like, without any really big instrumental breaks. Make sure that you can hit all of the notes and that whatever it is you sing you like the song and can almost relate to it, that way it looks like your telling the story and you make the listeners feel like you wrote the song and if you're a good singer, like if it were made for you...if you know of a song that meets all of those criteria s, then you should go with that song!
