Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Will they accept me?

Question:I am a begining actress and I am looking for an agent. I live in Dallas, Tx and I am thinking about going with the Kim Dawson agency because they have had some very sucessful clients. What is the chance of them ( or any agency) accepting me into their agency if I currently have not done any professional work. I have been in some small performances before, though. I will of course send in my pro head shots and a good resume. Here is just a little bit to know about me and my skills.

About me:

I have much experience performing in front of large audiences, and that is how I found out about my love for acting.

Dancing- I have four years of dance experience. I took at least three years of professional dance lessons in my community. I learned tap, ballet, lyrical, jazz, and hip- hop. I also performed in many recitals in front of large audiences and got a large rush and enjoyment from it each and every time. I took two dance camps over summer. In one we learned dances and some

well... according to what you're telling me you have a fair shot... but there's no real way of telling unless we actually see you perform, like a monologue or something, because i see people EVERYDAY who have resumes 10 pages long and are the worst actors I've ever seen. You've got the resume, but can you deliver?
Professional experience would definitely help but that doesn't mean you won't get the agent.... they'll probably want to train you and get you polished up before they get you out on the market! Keep a good attitude... and if you don't get it so what??? that gives you even more initiative to go out there and do it!

Best of Luck

Hey this is the person that you told to answer your question, and I think you could be a good actress.

But before you get an agent, make a profile for your self as in an acting profile. Note down all the experiences you have also its better if your a thesbien for acting. And get an agent and start ff in many commercials before you can hit shows and stuff like that, hopefully you get an acting contract, keep goign toads your dream just like I am right now. its a long road! but I think you can make it.
