How to break it into the acting industry?

Question:I live in england and i really want to become an actress. Apart from getting an agent, which im currently trying to do, Is there anything else i can be doing to make it happen.

1. Be talented
2. Study
3. Get experience locally
4. Learn the ropes and how to present yourself

Above all, get experience. There are rules and ways of doing things. Methods. Traditions. Just because I know how to drive a car does not mean I should try to drive a bulldozer. Acting is the same. Just because you have talent reading some lines does not mean you have learned the skills it takes to work in the film or theatre industry.

You've got to make sure you're actually a good actress.
Like most writers, they think their work is the best that can be written, but then others can hate it.
So you may think you're great but people might just be lieing to be polite.

So! to figuire out if you've got the talent, audition for theatres in your area and see if you get the parts. This will let you know.
Also audition for different types of plays as much as possible because you need lots of experience for that agent to want you.

A great way to practice cold reads and acting, is something that i love doing. Watch a tv show that you like and turn on the closed caption and read out the lines that the person would say.

This is also helpful too see how other actors would say the line and how you would say it.
