Position:Home>Theater & Acting> What's the difference between these scripts?

Question:Draft
Shooting Script
Script
Early Draft
Unproduced Scipt

I know it seems like a silly question, but I'm looking up scripts *as a suggestion per a fellow yahoo answerer :)* and I just wanted to know if there is a significant difference and if I should even look at "drafts" if I want to see what film scripts look like.

The Draft, Early Draft and Unproduced Script would all be versions of what's called a spec script or reading script. This is a script that is meant to be read in order for a writer to get a writing assignment or to sell an idea. The final draft of a reading script will go through major revisions by the director before it becomes a shooting script.

The Shooting Draft would be the script that is actually used in shooting the film, and will contain all the shots and camera directions.

You want to see a script. Everything else is to early or to late. A shoot script has all the camera shots and FX's set in them. An unproduced script should be about the same as a script.
