Theme: Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn?

Question:At work we are having a theme of Hucklberry Finn and the like. We can dress up for this event and I have never read Tom Sawyer so I really have no idea what it's all about and how they dressed, but I'd like to. Any costume ideas that I can make from home? I'd appreciate it.

the easiest would probably be brown pants, white button up shirt , and a straw hat. Put some holes in those and you'll have your costume for Huck Finn.
