Oprah Winfrey's "The Color Purple"

Hi, you need to see Avenue Q. This musical is brilliant and very entertaining! You will leave the theater not surprised that it beat out the Tony for best musical against Wicked, Spelling Bee, Boy from Oz, etc.

Although I dislike it:

Spamalot

I would suggest either Spring Awakening (It won 8 tony's and a grammy) or Young Frankenstein (its favored for best musical this year).

If "A Chorus Line" is still running, go see it. Brilliant show. There's a reason it won the Pulitzer Prize when it debuted, and this new production is a remounting that uses the original choreography and design elements.

"Curtains" was also very, very entertaining. Classic 'book musical' format.

"Equus" is coming to Broadway soon, wait a bit and see that. Its stars Daniel Radcliffe and is an amazing story.

Sunday in the Park With George, Spamalot, Young Frankenstein, Gypsy, or Spring Awakening.
