a good murder mystery book will be books by Agatha Christie. Don't know bout the snd one,haven't been to the theatres for a while.

Depending on your age, The Cat Who..........? Series by Lilian Jackson Braun is very good for all ages. For a little more mature readers (Language), Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum Series is very good, also very funny. Then there's also James Patterson's Women's Murder Club series ...... excellent, beginning with "1st To Die". I really prefer to read my mysteries in series form because after a while you feel you really know your main characters and look forward to their next case.
As for new movies, I very seldom go to theaters. I prefer DVDs and books. Hope I helped with the mysteries, though.
