If your parents don't support you there's not much you can do. You can take drama in school but it's not the same thing. See if they'll let you do theatre locally. It's great training and helps you build a resume. They'd have to commit to driving you to and from all rehearsals and performances of course. Start there, maybe promise to keep your grades up (you should anyway) and keep your room clean :-)

Maybe when you start getting good roles and praise from those at the theatre they'll take notice. If not, maybe grandma will and she'll help you!

Another thing, it's not realistic to think that you'll work for one or two major companies. When you move to LA, your agent will send you on audiions for whatever you breakdown for, not specifically Disney or Nick stuff. Also, they're tricky companies. if you ever do get offered a role with them, read your contract thoroughly and be ready to walk away if it includes a clause you don't like. All things are negotiable.

In CO there are only 3 SAG agencies and I'll bet none of them will take you without experience. Get that experience first (theatre, student films, etc.) then maybe your parents will be ready to help you and you'll be ready to get into the business.

good luck,
Marianne

Take some acting lessons. This will help you to get a feel of the industry and also to show your parents that you have what it takes.

Good luck!

It's not a day thing. And most people do not understand its more than having an agent. Do you know what a beat is? Do you have any knowledge on cold reading? Disney Channel is not easy to get on. The audition process is interminable and tiring. Just study acting online. I thought I was the best actress without classes - when I attended classes I learned alot and I want to learn more. You all see Miley Cyrus and Jason Dolley and want to immediately get on television. Acting is an art. Just be patience.

i wannna be model but that aint happening no offense but u need a lot of money i been there thats why im asking if someone could help me but in a way that i dont have to give money im not so rich thats why i want my family to be at a better place will thats not really a anwser but yeah!

They don't take you seriously because there is no way it is going to happen. YOu have to live in LA. No point in having an agent until you are a good actor as shown by your experience and training. I am a retired actor living in Colorado. I teach aspiring actors how to have a career.

I am sorry but you HAVE to have your parents 100% support, once you get there support, let me know i will help you.
