Question Home

Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Omg, help! i can't decide what song to do for my talent show...?

Question:I have a fair voice, i can do a little bit of christina aguilera type parts (very strong) but my voice can falter on those parts. I was thinking let it be by the beatles, but i need something that's not super-repetitive. I decided Amzing Grace WAS a beautiful song but it's not the song for me. I have been thinking about billy joel, but that probably wouldn't work either.
I need a nice, upbeat moderate song (PREFERABLY not a disney song), nothing monotonous (like hey there delilah) and nothing too country-iush. also, no soulja boy/flo rida and everythuing considering im a girl with a soft voice. seeing as it's my last year in this school i want to make the talent show. PLEASE HELP!
i need to know a song by tuesday so that i can practice for APRIL FIRST!
SO SCARED
PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS!
THANKS!

um, its a song called im not gonna write you a love song, great song, but i dont know who sings it. Fun song, and very get-to-the-pointish

Sing the song you sing the best. Don't try to be someone else.

maybe "white houses" by vanessa carlton? if you like that song but dont want to sing it, try looking for more stuff by her. it also depends on whether or not you have an accompanist because some songs are hard to find karaoke for.

I agree with knox4, Love Song sounds like it would suit your voice! The song is by Sara Bariellis. Bubbly may also work, by Colbie Callait. maybe go with something from a musical. Perhaps I'm not that girl from Wicked, or seasons of love from RENT. Good luck, hope I helped ;-)
