Now Cinnamon, At 13 with little experience, what makes you think Broadway would want you? There is no indication in your experience that u are any good at acting. The latter questions can be answered yes as long as the auditions are open to non union people. Just be very sure you meet all the qualifications in the advertisement and that you take an adult with you when you go. It would be a much better path to take singing and dancing and acting lessons from now until you graduate HS and that you participate in all the school and community plays that you can, then when you graduate you can continue to build your resume and when it is impressive you can try to get an agent., In the mean while any time you find an audition that you qualify for, you can go to it. Best wishes, Doc

1.It helps
2.It could
3.Maybe

Broadway performers have a very high level of skill, and have taken lots of classes in acting, dance and singing.

You could audition with no experience; I'd say your chances of being cast would be one in several hundred thousand.

In fact, you couldn't even get in to audition. Broadway auditions (with a few rare exceptions) are for union members only. The union is Actors Equity. You join the union by putting in a particular amount of weeks/months/years performing at other professional union theatres elsewhere. (Of course, you would have to get cast at those theatres also.)

Get some experience at local theatres, take some classes, get some training. The path will become obvious once you are working with others doing the same.

Hey! Sounds like you have a passion for sure! Well, my friend went to drama school and I guess thats the more thorough way. Its also a matter of being in the right place at the right time. ( i.e being spotted in the right place at the right time) You have still got youth in your hands, so I would advise that you would get higher roles if you have done some form of drama course.....ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND WORK HARD BECAUSE IT WILL PAY OFF. hope this helps a wee bit

If you can get an audition do it. Sign up for acting class and you'll get some good information and connections from the teacher/coach. Unless you live in NY I wouldn't run off just yet though. If you live in NY you can find hundreds of oppotunities to get on broadway or even off Broadway. Write to some of the actors who started young on Broadway and see if they can tell you (they might write back). Write to or go to some talent agencies too. Don't let anyone discourage you. There are naysayers everywhere. Don't listen to them. Good luck to you.
