Question:I am 15 and i have always been told im good at acting. should i go to a acting school?
I have always been told im good at acting and funny however i did not take drama as a GCSE. I am thinking about going to a performing arts school or acting academy. I have never actually fully studied drama but i am good at it. Would i be able to joint a school for a beginners course and where would i be able to join? also should i do it? i need to boost my self confidence. Many thanks for answering!

If it's what you want then go for it. You have nothing to loose and possibly lots to gain. I'm sure once you start your confidence will soon grow.

Yes, you should follow your dream, I wish I had! I love acting too, and used to love drama at school, but I dedided to do a degree in a completely different subject. At least consider it, and do some research!

thats a big YES! u should join a drama club..

in joining that u can share ur talents with others.. boost self confidence and self-esteem. and another thing is.. u can get a high grade too..

thats what i know..

Drama is a great way to boost confidence. I live in Australia but the only advise that i can give you is you need to find your passion. dont simply do something simply because you are good at it, If you dont truly love something it is very very hard to get anywhere. I wouldnt worry about never fully studying drama, from what i have learnt there is always 3,4,5 ways around things. Hope this helps, and good luck i hope you achieve your dream.

go for you dreams, but if it does not work out have something to fall back on!!!!

Excellent question! Most schools, you would have to audition to get into the program. If you're comfortable with that, great! If not, maybe audition and get a few community shows under your belt for experience. I love to hear young people interested in training programs - it means you are truly interested in doing the best job you possibly can. Work hard and have fun!

Go for it.
join a StageCoach somewhere near you.. they helped me so much with confidence and developing my skills.

they may also offer things called LAMDA exams which if you do about 7 or 8 are equivalent to AS and A levels.

Note: there can be a waiting list for stagecoach! But it's worth it
