Is Idina Mensel in RENT or just wicked??

Question:I just go done watching Enchanted which I.M was in and i knew she was on Brodway for Wicked but was she in RENT too? I heard someone say she was and i just wondered

Yes she was a part of the obc of Rent and she reprised her role as Maureen the movie. After that came Wicked which won her a Tony.

Its Menzel, not Mensel.
She was in the OBC* of both RENT as Maureen Johnson and Wicked as Elphaba Thropp. She did the RENT movie because they wanted as much of the OBC* back as they possibly could.
