britta$$ does not have a good idea to put your info on line. Eventually they are going to ask her to up grade for money and she is never going to hear from them about a role. Step 1 do all the speech and drama stuff at school, the plays and the competitions. Step 2, when you have been in a few plays and competitions and done really well, find a professional acting class, Step 3. Read all the plays you can get your hands on. Step4. ask someone like me for a list of books to read.-- don't bother with anything written before 1980 and no Stanislavski or Method junk, it is all passe except the great little sayings about acting that come from Stanislavski. Step 5. Take your time and don't get in a hurry. Step 6 IF you are not in a city where the action is, move when you are out of high school and start building a strong resume. When your resume has great experience and training on it, try to get an agent. Never stop getting more experience, get into all those community theatre plays and semi-pro dinner theatres that you can. Keep taking classes. Once you get an agent you can help get yourself professional roles by reading Acting as a Business by Brian O'Neil. Ask me if you have any questions, anything, anytime. Doc

You can only find out by doing. Audition for school plays, church plays and go for open calls. Get some of those show business papers and look through them. Sign up for an acting class or find an acting coach. Find out if you really like doing it. Don't get discouraged. If you don't enjoy it then you know.

me too...
get your parents permission
and make a profile on exploretalent.com
i have my own profile.
as soon as you make a profile, they will
call you in the next couple of days!
im 14 and i've gotten a call, i just haven't had the time to call back!

Try out for plays, and when you become good get an agent, and you could be on Tv!

The first thing you will need is a theatrical agent
to help represent you.
Look in the telephone yellow pages under theatrical agents
to find one for you.

Also, check with the "Screen Actors Guild" in
Los Angeles, California...They can provide a list
of agents reliable agents to represent you.

For one thing, your agent can get all the information
on stuff like this, what times/dates and locations to
go to.

Your agent can get you thru MUCH MORE FASTER
than if you did it yourself.

Also, if you are UNDER 18 years of age, you
will need a parent or legal guardian to sign
legal documents and contracts. Being under 18 years
old you are considered LEGALLY a minor.

Production companies look at people with
agents FIRST than the ones without agents.
