Rule number one. Never lie on a resume. I cannot tell you the amount of times I have been working with casting directors that looked over a resume and said " This person did not work on that project" or "this person was not a principle on that show". It just makes you look bad and you would be surprised by how often people are busted on this.

So in answer to your question. When you are listing extra work do not put “extra” as your part, but list whatever it was that you portrayed in the scene you were in such as " basketball player, “restaurant patron”, “party guest” etc. If you work more than one day on the same film, playing different roles, only use one on your resume. And If you had a speaking part you would list it as principle, under 5, guest star, co-star or lead.

Just listing this helps as it shows you have had work on a set and that is far better then someone who has never set foot on one.

Put it as a footnote under jobs.

Put it under your film experience (at the bottom of the list).

On-site film experience is a plus.

Just present a clean, honest resume. Don't worry about it being extra film work. You're either right for the part or not, and some experience always looks better than none. Good luck...
