How many hours of a day should I practice my character?

As the lead singer in the classic musical "How to dance naked" you should practice your lines a total of 3 hours of day. It's better to go nuts at home, then on stage.

You need to commit. 24 hours a day.

Do whatever makes you feel comfortable. If you feel like you're doing really well then you can pry stop for the day. If you feel as though you would struggle with it, keep practicing.

you should practice for 15 minutes take a break and then go back to it and practice another 15 minutes

its up to how well you really want to do on it, more time allows you to get more aquanited with it, and it also you to try different perspectives

It's a fine line. If you do it too much, you'll grow bored with it. If you don't do it enough, you'll likely forget the lines. Are you having an easy time remembering the lines? If so, you can get by with less practice as long as you feel connected enough to the character. Don't give yourself a strict time limit. Practice until you begin to feel distracted, then take a break. You can always go back and practice again later when you're feeling refreshed. Best of luck to you!
