As far as I'm aware, The Stage is still in publication.

A better option would be to go online and visit the BBC Talent website. Channel4 also has an 'Opportunities' section which is very much aimed at the teenage group.

Always be aware of agencies which advertise online or in newspapers. Many of these are not to be trusted under any conditions. Never 'pay' to audition and always make sure the venue is above board. Sorry to sound over-cautious but far too many young people are being exploited in this business and the dangers are all too obvious.

Try the BBC as a first port of call.

Good luck!

sry live in the US so i don't know what magazines u'd have there

in the UK? i dont know
try looking online

There used to be a paper called "The Stage" not sure if you can still get it.

sorry i dont know what magazines you have there.Try looking it up on google.

Definately 'The Stage'. It's usually priced at aroun £1.50 and is available from all good newsagents. There are also many internet audition websites that give you details of auditions if you subscribe. Keep on trying! It's a tricky business! It's exactly what I want to do. I also recommend keeping up amateur dramatics, find a local society and gain more experience, and when you are in your final year at college apply to which drama schools suit you on www.drama.ac.uk. That's what I aim to do!

Best of luck to you!

Reach for the stars!

The Stage?

The Stage has a website with the auditions on it. The new jobs are published on a Wednesday, but unless you subscribe to the newspaper you won't be able to see them until a few days later. I personally can't see why you would want the newspaper and then read it all on the net for free. Even if a job has been advertised for a few days, people still have as much chance as those who applied the second the paper was published.
