Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Going to see Avenue Q in Atlanta - Is it worth it to purchase seats more towards

Question:I'm going to see the off-broadway of Avenue Q next wednesday in Atlanta, which will be showing at the Fox theatre. For those of you who have seen Avenue Q or any musical for that matter or have even BEEN to the Fox theatre, can you tell me if it's worth it to purchase tickets that are more towards the front? We're talking rows A through through like HH. Once you get to JJ and back, the price becomes cheaper, but it seems like it'd be too far away. So is it worth that extra ten dollars to go more towards the front?

I have never been to the Fox Theatre but I have seen Avenue Q as well as many many other shows. In my opinion it is always best to sit closer if possible. Not right in the front as you will miss as much being too close as you will being too far. But if you can get seats about 5 rows back in the center for only 10 dollars more then definitely go for it.

That said, Avenue Q is not a small show. It will most likely read well further back but overall I feel the experience is better when you are not so far back that you can't read the expressions on the actors faces.

If you haven't bought the tickets yet spend the extra $10!

I saw The Drowsy Chaperone in January at the Fox in Atlanta and I was in row OO. The seats were so far away it was crazy. But I was still able to enjoy the show. I'm going to go see Avenue Q next Sunday and this time I spent the extra $11. This time my seats are in row X.

If you haven't bought tickets by now all the good seats are probably gone. Good Luck and hope you enjoy!!

And go to this link...they have an interactive seating chart: http://www.foxtheatre.org/seatingchart/F...
