First of all, there is no dream ballet in the movie. I, personally, think that that's a good thing. I mean, I've seen a few different versions of the play and sometimes it really adds something. However, if it isn't done right, which I've also seen happen, it seems just random. If you didn't know the play, you would have thought that they desperately needed to fill up time, so they added it on last minute.

Also, not that the gun shot in the movie isn't scary, but hearing a real live gun go off, as my school did it, is ten times more frightening. And that's important to real give a sense of the wild emotions.

As for similarities, the plot is exactly the same. And the settings. Unlike some plays and movies where they change some scenes, all of the events take place in basically the same spot.

Umm...I'm drawing a blank for other similarities. I mean, I know it must be right under my nose and stuff, but I'm a tad too tired to think.
