Saycon Sengbloh was the Broadway Standby for Elphaba. She was a Standby, which means she would be the first person to cover for the role of Elphaba, then if she hadn't been able to make it, an understudy would have taken over.

She may end up playing Elphaba full time sometime in the future, but thats just a theory I have.

Yes she was just an understudy. But I believe she will be leaving soon.

she was a replacement Elphaba... not the first person to play the role.... if thats what your asking
