I think you may be confusing the major which in this case is acting, with the degree granted by the college or university which is a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA). At some colleges, you can get a BFA in theater or drama or musical theater. At other schools they may grant a Bachelor of Arts(BA) or even a Bachelor of Music(BM) (e.g. NYU Steinhardt Vocal Performance with a concentration in musical theater or opera). It depends on the school's requirements and whether or not there is a liberal arts component. If you are looking at schools, really investigate. For more info on this go to the performing arts college pages at www.musical-theater-kids.com
Don't hesitate to ask questions of the admissions office at any college. They are usually more than happy to explain the options available to incoming students.

Yes there is. try academy of art university san francisco, ca

If you are doing a BFA in acting ... acting IS your major.

These answers are all correct. There is no BFA in acting, only a BFA in Theatre or all the aspects of Performing Arts. BFA in most colleges require an additional year, by audition only after two to three years of undergraduate study, but it is not necessary to advance to a Masters Program (Graduate Study) in Acting, which only some schools offer. Check the school your choice online and call the department and ask. Lists that are online sometimes include schools with all degrees in Fine Arts/Performance, so you'll have to weed through to the ones that have what you're looking for. The length of your education is less important than it's breadth, and the length of your life is less important than it's depth.

The more important question is what do you want to do with your acting education? If it is film, go the the Academy of Art in San Francisco. If it is stage, go to SUNY Purchase, or Rutgers or any of the really good BFA programs in acting. Or you could just try to get established as an actor instead of going to college and spending all that time and money.
