I am constantly surprised how many really good actors are really good singers. A church choir is free sining lessons, and you get to perform every week! Practice, a good skill, performance, that's all acting! While you're there, at church, a little praying to help your goals along couldn't hurt....

Well, (I'm 12 too!) the more experience the better. When becoming an actress/singer/model/ect, you'd need a resume to show casting directors what experience you have in what you're aiming for. For example, singing. If you put down on your resume 'church choir' or whatever... the CD will think, well, this girl must be good, and dedicated to singing or something like that. Best of luck!

As the first poster said join the church choir as it offers singing lessons. Also join a community thearte group. That way you can get alot of good acting tips and learn how to perform in front of a crowd and understand how the acting community works.

Experience is a great teacher!! It also is something to put on your resume that shows how you've been working on your talents!!

If you want to be a singer, sing. My experience has been that the very best singers are the ones who sing the most - a choir is a great opportunity to get in a lot of practice, and to learn sight singing and reading music.
