Try holding a fundraiser! Like a bowl-a-thon! Try and get your local bowling alley to give you a few lanes, then invite a bunch of people and ask for sponsorship. You can have bowling and a buffet, plus raffles and split the pot which all the proceeds will go to you. Plus, if people donate money when you ask for sponsorship, that's all the more! In return for sponsorship, promise that you will write emails and letters telling them all about acting school. I am doing a bowlathon fundraiser to help raise money for my trip to Europe. I hope this helps!

I can't understand why this topic keeps coming up. Why should the public be expected to pay for your schooling?

Have you thought about logistics, like, if you held a raffle or something, who are people going to write their checks to? You? People are not going to like that. It's shady. And besides, you going to NYFA is not going to appeal to sad, married men like sponsoring someone's boob job is. Do you realize that those sponsors are getting pictures of the boob job they sponsored?

In many states, raffles are considered gambling, and you would need to be a non-profit corporation and register and get permission from your state. And you have to be a legal adult. Unless you have declared yourself a public charity, maybe you want to think about giving the community a break, and get a job.

Are you kidding? That's like gambling! No one's going to want to donate for your schooling benefit. Yes, I can understand if people would want to donate to an animal shelter, but not for your own good.
